So...which of the above are real? Which are faux?
We all have seen those faux fur coats and vests that are so obviously fake. Sometimes I think they are made to look more like muppet fur than animal fur (who would want to slaughter Grover!?) But there really are so many quality faux fur styles on the market right now that if you are against wearing real fur, you have plenty of gorgeous + cozy options.
Top 3 shopping tips for buying faux:
1) Stay away if it is not soft to the touch. The more bristled and matted faux fur is, the more likely it is to "bunch up" on you over time and wear...look very fake + cheap. No bueno.
2) Faux fur looks best in a slim fit. Stay away from the bulky faux designs.
1) Go for a simple + neutral color dye when going faux. Think more solid black and browns and less color patchwork. In fact...stay away from the color patchwork altogether.
